Personal ending
The present indicative is formed by adding the appropriate personal ending to the stem of the present indicative.
E.g. Ma elan Eestis. Sa elad Tartus. Ta elab linnas. Me elame Euroopas. Te elate uues majas. Nad elavad maal.´I live in Estonia. You live in Tartu. He / She lives in town.We live in Europe. You live in the new house. They live in the country.´
Negative forms have no personal endings.E.g. Ma (sa, ta, me, te, nad) ei ela Ameerikas. I (you, he/she, we, you they) don't live in America.
Ma õpin saksa keelt. Sa sööd hommikust. Ta sõidab tööle autoga. Me läheme koju. Te tulete töölt. Nad õpetavad eesti keelt.I am learning German. You are eating breakfast. She goes to work by car. We're going home. You come home from work. They are teaching the Estonian language.
