1. Expressing spatial relations

Postpositions expressing spatial relations have 3 forms.
Where to? E.g. Ta parkis auto maja ette. /She parked a car in front of the house./ Ta istutas puud maja taha. /He planted the trees behind the house./
Where? E.g. Istun oma sõbra kõrval. /I sit next to my friend./ Maja taga on mets. /There is a forest behind the house./
Where from? E.g. Võtsin raamatu laua pealt. /I took the book from the table./ Tulin maja tagant. /I came from behind the house./

1) Postpositions governing the genitive:

sisse	in (to)	sees	seest
alla	under	all	alt
kohale	above	kohal	kohalt
ette	in front of	ees	eest
taha	back	taga	tagant
peale	on, above	peal	pealt

Adverb

They are declined in the three locative cases.
Adverbs answer the questions where to?, where? or where from?
E.g. Me ei saa sinna minna. /We can't go there./ Siin on minu kodu. /Here is my home./ Ma ei taha siit ära minna. /I do not want to go away from here./

etc.

The three cases are not distinguished in: tagasi 'back', edasi 'forward', etc.
