The marker -ke is added to the -da infinitive stem with the marker -ta, e.g. vaatama, vaadata, vaatan > vaadake
The marker -ge is added to the -da infinitive stem with the marker -a when -a is preceded by a vowel or a voiced consonant. tulema, tulla, tulen > tulge
The marker -ke is added to the -da infinitive stem with the marker -a when -a is preceded by the consonants -d, -h. tegema, teha, teen > tehke
The 2nd person singular imperative is formed from the stem of the 1st person present indicative, and no marker is added to the stem, e.g. hüppa/n > hüppa!, õpi/n > õpi!
In the case of one-syllable verbs ending with -oo or -öö, formation of the imperative is irregular. jooma, juua, joon > joo! jooge! sööma, süüa, söön > söö! sööge!
The negative form of the imperative: ära/ärge + imperative form, e.g. õpi! > ära õpi! õppige! > ärge õppige!
E.g. Tule siia! Minge sinna! Ära tee seda! Ärge mind oodake!
