Pre- and Postpositions expressing temporal relations

1) postpositions governing the genitive: jooksul ~ kestel / during; eest / ago; pärast / after, in; e.g. Lõpetan kooli kahe aasta pärast.

2) postpositions governing the elative: saadik ~ peale / since, from; e.g. Sügisest saadik on ta haige.

3) prepositions governing the partitive: enne / before, pärast ~ peale / after; e.g. Enne loengut käin ma raamatukogus.

Temporal Adverbs or Adverbs of Time

 Temporal adverbs answer the questions when? (for) how long? how often? for what time?
kaua / (for) a long time; täna / today, eile / yesterday; mõnikord / sometimes  varsti / soon; ammu / long (ago); tihti / often; harva / seldom, rarely etc.

E.g. Homme ma õpin kodus. Nad käivad sageli teatris.
